The Monza division of Italy's crack
art cops, the Carabinieri unit for the protection of the
cultural heritage, have recovered five Greek coins that had been
pout up for sale on the Web with an asking price of 1,500 euros,
sources said Monday.
The coins are from the Classical and Hellenistic periods and
show mythological such as Dionysus and Heracles as well as
Athenian scenes and images of Alexander the Great.
They were handed back to Greece in a ceremony in Rome with Greek
Ambassador Eleni Sourani.
