Farnesina Secretary General Riccardo Guariglia, on the sidelines of a mission to Cape Town to preside over a meeting of ambassadors and directors of the Italian Development Cooperation Agency (AICS) offices in southern Africa, focusing on the prospects for further strengthening Italian action in the region in the framework of the Mattei Plan, met with Zane Dangor, Secretary General of the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation. The bilateral consultations also included an exchange of views on key regional and international issues.
Guariglia in Cape Town also met with the Italian national under-20 rugby team engaged in the World Rugby U20 Championship. The Championship is an international 15-a-side rugby competition organised by World Rugby and aimed at national teams composed of players aged 20 years and under.
