Italian Ambassador Andrea Silvestri was received today by the Minister of European Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia, Orhan Murtezani. Giving the news in a note, the embassy reported that Silvestri congratulated the minister on his new appointment as head of the newly established Ministry of European Affairs, the establishment of which represents a significant signal on the importance of the Euro-integrative process. In this regard, Silvestri emphasised that Italy firmly believes in the European future of North Macedonia and supports the reunification of the Western Balkans with the European family, as evidenced by the numerous initiatives organised by the Italian side with the aim of intensifying cooperation with the WB6 in all areas.
Minister Murtezani expressed his thanks for Italy's open support, which he assessed as crucial for the achievement of the country's European goals, and outlined the next steps that the new government intends to take in this area.
