Art, technology and sustainability are the themes of the exhibition 'Art in Motion: AI Creatives at the Singapore Night Race' opened in Singapore by the Italian Ambassador, Dante Brandi, on the occasion of the Formula 1 Grand Prix. Promoted by the Dino Zoli Foundation for Contemporary Art, the exhibition, open to the public until 24 September 2024, is curated by Nadia Stefanel and brings together the works of six brilliant and innovative artists from Italy and Singapore, highlighting the intersection of art, technology and sustainability. Featuring aural, visual and experimental works by Francesca Fini, Debora Hirsch, Giuseppe Ragazzini, Martin Romeo, Jake Tan and Ker Siang Yeo, the exhibition, staged at The Arts House among Singapore's oldest buildings, formerly the seat of Parliament, offers a stimulus to reflect on some of the most profound issues of our time, as well as a platform for cultural exchange and creative collaboration.
Supported by the Italian Embassy, EuroCham and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, together with business and technology partners, the project is included in the official programme of the Grand Prix Season Singapore.
Opening the exhibition, Ambassador Brandi said: "The exhibition by Fondazione Dino Zoli per l'Arte Contemporanea and DZE Asia is a well-established part of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix programme. This year's is a unique fusion of art, movement, technology and sustainability and an opportunity to reflect on how artificial intelligence is shaping the future of creative expression, as well as society itself globally. The Embassy is proud to support this initiative, which highlights the capacity of art to address the deeper questions of technological progress, as well as to develop an even more articulate collaboration between Italy and Singapore on these issues".
