The building housing the Italian Embassy in Ankara is featured on the poster of the 2024 edition of the European Heritage Days scheduled for 21 and 22 September in Ankara. Under the slogan "You will be a lover of Ankara!", the event celebrates the capital's rich history, architecture and artistic heritage with a series of events, starting with the opening of the doors of eight European embassies, including the Italian one, to Ankara residents with guided tours. The programme also includes initiatives in eight museums, five routes, five exhibitions and three concerts organised by embassies, museums, universities, foundations and associations.
The European Heritage Days take place in more than 50 countries that are members of the European Cultural Convention, to which Turkey has been a party since 1954, and represent an opportunity to learn about a common cultural heritage and to take action to protect and develop this heritage for present and future generations.
