The Deputy Minister for Enterprise and Italian Products, Valentino Valentini, accompanied by the Ambassador to Australia Paolo Crudele, met the Federal Minister for Trade, Don Farrell, today in Sydney: the focus was on the attraction of Australian investments to the Italian market and on the interests of our country in the Indo-Pacific region.
The meeting," reads a note from the embassy, "also offered an opportunity to discuss the topics of energy transition and value chains concerning critical raw materials. They also discussed the possible prospects for relaunching negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement between the European Union and Australia.
The deputy minister then met numerous representatives of the Italian community living in Sydney, highlighting the historic passage of the Navy's training ship Amerigo Vespucci, which docked this afternoon in the port of Darwin. "The Deputy Minister's visit was a valuable opportunity to relaunch bilateral relations between Italy and Australia, generating synergies and opportunities for growth, starting from the deep economic and cultural ties that unite these two countries," Ambassador Crudele commented.
