The Italian ambassador to Croatia, Paolo Trichilo, took part in a conference entitled 'Energy sector - opportunities and challenges', organised by Privredna banka Zagreb- PBZ - a bank belonging to the Intesa San Paolo Group and one of the leading banks in Croatia - together with the Croatian Employers' Association (HUP). Present at the initiative," the Embassy reported in a note, "were the Croatian Minister of Environmental Protection and Green Transition, Marija Vučković, the Director General of Croatian Employers' Association, Irena Weber, and PBZ Vice-President Dario Grassani. During the conference, the "ENEMED Energy Report for Croatia" was presented, prepared by SRM - Studi Ricerche per il Mezzogiorno di Napoli (Intesa San Paolo Group) and the Polytechnic University of Turin with the aim of stimulating reflection on the future prospects for the development of renewable energy in Croatia.
In this regard, the event highlighted the action undertaken by Croatia in recent years in favour of energy transition, investing more in key aspects such as decarbonisation, research and innovation. During his presentation, SRM General Manager De Andreis also emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation between Italy and Croatia as countries bordering the Adriatic Sea.
