The Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, met with the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction and Minister for Community and Territorial Development, Oleksii Kuleba.
The meeting focused on the upcoming development cooperation projects promoted by Italy as part of the Italian patronage of the city and region of Odessa. Ambassador Formosa reaffirmed Italy's support for the protection of the cultural heritage and the reconstruction of the key infrastructures of Odessa, a Unesco heritage site deeply affected by the conflict.
In a concrete and constructive conversation, a number of projects were discussed concerning the upgrading of hospital infrastructure, the irrigation of the region's rural areas, job creation through vocational training, the protection of the cultural heritage and the improvement of the city's urban development.
The meeting consolidated the common commitment to the rebirth of Odessa and the strengthening of relations between Italy and Ukraine.
