The Italian Ambassador to Croatia, Paolo Trichilo, attended the concert organised by the Italian Cultural Institute at the Vatroslav Lisinski auditorium in Zagreb to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini's death. The anniversary was commemorated with excerpts from the famous Italian composer's operas performed by 'I virtuosi del Teatro alla Scala', musicians from the Orchestra Filarmonica and Opera of La Scala in Milan, representing a combination of orchestral soloists and section conductors, and Croatian soprano Darija Auguštan, the most sought-after opera artist currently on the Italian opera podiums. Already last May, the Italian Embassy had celebrated Puccini's genius and his ability to combine different artistic and melodic currents, sponsoring the premiere of La Bohème at the National Theatre in Zagreb, conducted by internationally renowned professional Maestro Pier Giorgio Morandi.
