On the occasion of the Amerigo Vespucci's stopover in Doha, the Italian Embassy contributed to the schedule of cultural events by organising two evening concerts and an exhibition open to the public for the entire duration of the 'Villaggio Italia', the structure adjacent to the 'most beautiful sailing ship in the world' that hosted, among others, the above-mentioned initiatives.
Following the inauguration of the Village, the 'Navigando sotto le stelle' concert by the 'Qatar Concert Choir & Friends' ensemble was held, which led the public through traditional Italian opera and film music, from an artistic initiative by Giovanni Pasini, first viola of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and director of the 'Qatar Concert Choir'.
"David Riccardo & Once Upon a Time Orchestra" performed the concert 'Il viaggio', with a repertoire of mainly Italian music and songs.
