Italy is committed to supporting Ghana in its digital transformation and expanding its partnership with the country.
This was assured by the Ambassador of Italy in Accra, Laura Ranalli, while meeting with the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam Nartey George.
Ambassador Ranalli, accompanied by the representative of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, Enrico Roggi, discussed with the minister new avenues for collaboration in digital transformation and presented the Italian Digital Initiative for Africa.
Key areas of discussion included the 'One Million Coders Program', an initiative to train one million Ghanaians in coding skills, and the 'Gh Forms Project', which seeks to standardise government forms and services, making it easier for citizens to access online services. Cybersecurity was another topic of discussion, and the minister emphasised the need for robust policies to improve national cybersecurity frameworks in the country.
