EU common foreign policy is lacking as the Union wastes time debating secondary issues like gender identity, Premier Giorgia Meloni says in an excerpt from a new book by journalist Bruno Vespa.
Meloni, who will have her first meeting with the EU's top
officials in Brussels Thursday, also confirmed that she saw the
Union as a confederation of sovereign states rather than a
political union.
"My idea of the EU is a federal one," she said.
