Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni was
the only woman head of government taking part as the G20 summit
kicked off in Bali, Indonesia, on Tuesday.
She was also one of only four women to sit at the 41-strong
summit table.
The others were European Commission President Ursula von der
Leyen, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina
Georgieva and World Trade Organization Director General Ngozi
Okonjo-Iweala.
Meloni, 45, was sworn in as Italy's first woman premier last
month after her Brothers of Italy (FdI) party led a right-wing
coalition to victory in Italy's September 25 general election.
