ANSA has signed a renewed
partnership deal with Serbian news agency Tanjug as it expands
its international collaboration network after similar deals with
Dutch agency ANP, India's PTI, Argentina's TELAM, Uruguay's
Uypress and Filipino press agency PNA .
Like the others, the accord with the Belgrade-based agency
envisages an exchange of content and forging an
enriched offering of international news for clients as well as
developing joint commercial offers to boost the communication of
institutions and businesses in their respective countries.
Italian Ambassador to Serbia Luca Gori, present at the ceremony
in Belgrade, said "the confirmation of the historic
collaboration between ANSA and Tanjug is important also for the
bilateral relations between Rome and Belgrade. All the more so
in view of the next few months in which, at the behest of
(Foreign) Minister (Antonio) Tajani, we foresee holding many
events of political dialogue and economic cooperation between
Italy and Serbia. These are appointments whose media coverage
will be able to enjoy the effects of this accord also".
Tanjug Director General Manja Grcic said "this is a very
important accord for our press agency. Cooperation between the
two agencies already existed before, but this is the first time
we have met, since Tačno Company acquired the rights to use
Tanjug's brands. This is a very important collaboration for us,
ANSA is the biggest Italian press agency, it has over 500 staff
and is the oldest in Italy, and we are very happy that all the
major global agencies want to work with us. We will exchange
information and content and today we are discussing for the
first time to discover what there is to be done and what to work
on; I think that the exchange of know-how and new technologies
is very important, since it is fundamental that Tanjug should
continue its development and its growth".
ANSA Managing Director Stefano De Alessandri voiced satisfaction
with this major new collaboration deal with a historic partner:
"This new accord constitutes a confirmation and a broadening of
the great work that we have already been doing with Tanjug for
some time within the framework of the principal European news
agency association, of the Mediterranean area, of the Balkans
and in the European Newsroom. As well as widening the
availability of news and mutual knowledge between Serbia and
Italy, this new accord also constitutes an opportunity for the
exchange of technological best practices, and a further
opportunity to develop projects supporting the communications of
the two countries' institutions and businesses".
