Russia said Wednesday that Europe
must wake from its "lethargy" and alleged dependence on the US
after Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said Brussels always took
Washington's lead.
"Europe urgently needs to wake up from its lethargic slumber"
because the US is "dragging it into a big war, .said Russian
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, commenting on her
Telegram channel on an interview with La Stampa in which Tajani
complained that "Europe has no real foreign policy, as well as
defence policy" and comes "always after the Americans".
