Milan's San Raffaele hospital on
Monday confirmed reports that Silvio Berlusconi has been moved
from its intensive-care unit to an ordinary ward in an update on
the ex-premier's condition.
The move was made possible by a good "response to treatment"
said a statement by Professor Alberto Zangrillo, San Raffaele's
ICU head and Berlusconi's personal physician, and head blood
cancer physician Fabio Ciceri.
The 86-year-old Forza Italia leader, who was admitted to
hospital on April 5 for a lung infection and the sudden
worsening of a chronic leukaemia, reportedly left the intensive
care unit on Sunday.
