European Economy Commissioner Paolo
Gentiloni said Wednesday that the EU executive is willing to
negotiate changes to Italy's National Recovery and Resilience
Plan (NRRP), while stressing that any amendments to it must be
made soon.
"What we are asking for is that there is an effort, because we
know that the most difficult part is coming, and not just for
Italy," Gentiloni said as he presented the Commission's spring
recommendations.
"We need a major commitment, especially if the plan is going to
be changed.
"We are willing to discuss this in a flexible, constructive way,
but this must happen as soon as possible".
