Peace and invasion are two very
different concepts and must not be confused, Premier Giorgia
Meloni told the EU-Celac summit in Brussels on Tuesday.
"I have heard several people here talking about peace, but I
think we must give words their proper meaning," said Meloni in
relation to the war triggered by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
"The word 'peace' cannot be confused with the word 'invasion',
because peace and invasion are two very different concepts," she
continued.
"If anyone thinks they can confuse these two words, they do not
understand that a world in which international law no longer
exists will never be a world of peace," said the premier.
