The Italian magistrates' union ANM on
Monday called on Defence Minister Guido Crosetto to "dispel
suspicions and shadows" regarding his claims that judicial
opposition is the main threat to the government of Premier
Giorgia Meloni.
"We ask Minister Crosetto to dispel suspicions and shadows, he
must not let his words remain vague," ANM President Giuseppe
Santalucia told the Metropolis programme on Repubblica.it
"If there is something that needs to be clarified he must do so,
in the way that he chooses," he added.
"We are not creating a case, yesterday we were surprised to read
the minister's statements in the newspaper," continued
Santalucia.
"Our meetings are all public and we were surprised by these
extremely worrying words: I think they were the result of a huge
misunderstanding," he added.
