Premier Giorgia Meloni on Tuesday
chaired the Inter-Ministerial Committee for Cyber security to
assess "the current state of cyber security" in the light of
"the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East", according to a
statement from the premier's office at Palazzo Chigi.
The crises have led to "an increase in cyber attacks and hacker
activism" also "towards institutional sites", the statement
added.
Tuesday's meeting "identified and defined the digital safeguards
needed to ensure the best protection of Italy's critical and
essential infrastructure in the current context".
