The southern city of Matera will host
a meeting of G7 equal opportunities ministers in October, the
Italian government, which holds the duty presidency of the G7
this year, said on Wednesday.
"The Italian presidency will bring together the G7 ministers
responsible for equal opportunities from October 4 to 6 in
Matera," said Family, Births and Equal Opportunities Minister
Eugenia Roccella at the 'Women7 Summit' event in Rome.
"The meeting, which I will have the honour of chairing, will be
the ideal platform to exchange best practices, devise innovative
solutions, and promote partnerships aimed at achieving gender
equality within the G7".
