An international hacker group has
threatened attacks on the Italian health system, sources said
Thursday.
The threats appeared on a manifesto of the Groove Cyber Crime
Group, a criminal crew that has gathered other similar groups to
respond to the actions of US agencies against a Russian-based
gang specializing in ransomware attacks, Revil, the sources
said.
Revil is believed to have been responsible for the May attack on
the Colonial Pipeline in the USA.
Italian health sector sources, ANSA has learned, have reported
that the national cybersecurity agency alerted potential targets
some days ago of the possible risks, suggesting adequate
counter-measures to ward off the possible attack.
