The government is set to approve COVID
vaccine mandates for the over-50s, sources at the 'control room'
virus task force said on Wednesday.
Anyone in Italy who is over 50 would be obliged to get the COVID
jab, they said.
The control room recommendations are expected to be approved by
a cabinet meeting later Wednesday.
The so-called Super Green Pass would be used to check that
workers have had the jab.
The control room is made up of key ministers representing
majority parties and public health officials and led by Premier
Mario Draghi.
