AS Roma coach José Mounrinho got a 10-day ban Wednesday for calling Daniele Chiffi "the worst referee I've ever had" and "totally lacking in empathy" after the Giallorossi's 1-1 draw at Monza May 3.
The National Federal Tribunal (TFN) disqualified Mourinho for 10 days from the first day of the next Serie A championship after the federal prosecutor's office referred him for accusations against referee Chiffi.
An expected plea bargain was dropped, with the Special One instead going to trial.
The Portuguese former Inter and Chelsea boss was also fined 50,000 euros.
Roma, who had been referred for objective responsibility, were fined 50 thousand euros by the TFN.
UEFA last Wednesday handed Mourinho a four-match European ban for "directing aggressive language" at referee Anthony Taylor following his side's defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League final at the end of May.
The suspension, issued by UEFA's Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body, means that Mourinho will miss four Europa League group-stage matches next season.
In a video, Mourinho is shown to have gone on a verbal tirade against the English official after the match in the VIP car park at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, calling him a "f**king disgrace", among other things.
Mourinho told reporters that Taylor's performance in the match, which Roma lost on penalties after regulation and extra time ended 1-1, was a "scandal", saying a series of decisive calls had gone against his team.
