Italy face Australia in the Davis Cup
final in Malaga on Sunday after Jannick Sinner's heroics helped
the Azzurri to beat Novak Djokovic's Serbia 2-1 in Saturday's
semi-final.
The 22-year-old first beat the world number one in three sets in
the singles, saving three match points on the way to a 6-2, 2-6,
7-5 victory.
Then he and Lorenzo Sonego defeated Djokovic and his partner
Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3 6-4 in the doubles to put Italy in the
final for the first time in 25 years.
The only time Italy have ever won the competition was in 1976,
when a team featuring Corrado Barazzutti, Adriano Panatta and
Paolo Bertolucci beat Chile 4-1.
