Sandro Tonali said Friday he wanted
to end his betting woes and restart after the FA on Thursday
referred him for illegal betting after his summer move from AC
Milan to Newcastle and amid a 10-month Italian betting ban.
The 23-year-old Italy midfielder, his agents said in a
statement, wants to "put a definitive end to a negative and very
painful interlude in his life and make a strong start at the end
of his disqualification".
Tonali, pointed out GRSports, the agency that looks after
Tonali's interests among others, has self-reported to the
Football Association and is cooperating with the FA as he has
already done with the Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) justic
system.
