Gianmarco 'Gimbo' Tamberi on Wednesday
qualified for the men's high jump final at the 2024 Paris
Olympics.
The athlete, who was taken to hospital Sunday with a high fever
possibly due to kidney stones, did not jump higher than 2.24,
failing three attempts to reach 2.27.
However, he qualified among the group of top 12 athletes, along
with another Italian, Stefano Sottile, who jumped the same
height.
