Andrea Kimi Antonelli, 18, will
replace Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes starting in 2025, the team
officially announced on Saturday.
The driver from Bologna, who hails from the Mercedes junior
academy, has been chosen to step into the role left vacant by
seven-time world champion Hamilton who will join Ferrari next
year.
Italy thus returns to have an official Formula 1 race driver.
