Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said
Wednesday that Italy condemned Moscow for raining missiles on
Ukraine while saying that a missile strike inside the Polish
border that killed two people did not appear to feature direct
Russian involvement.
The FM also said Italy was working with its allies towards a
de-escalation of the conflict.
"I can only reiterate the condemnation of the Russian
escalation" that yesterday became the protagonist of the "launch
of many missiles against Ukraine", said Tajani.
As Italy, "we followed the situation with apprehension, even the
Prime Minister (Giorgia Meloni) intervened while participating
in a G7 meeting in Bali. It seems that there is no direct
involvement of Russia for the missile or missiles that arrived
in Poland", but "this must push us to send messages for
de-escalation".
