Ukraine on Monday summoned the
Vatican envoy after Pope Francis mentioned raising the white
flag in a plea for negotiations over the Russian invasion.
Aspokesman for the US National Security Council told ANSA
earlier Monday that United State President Joe Biden respects
Pope Francis after he used the image of a white flag in an
interview with Swiss TV to call for the courage of negotiation
to end the war in Ukraine, but peace depends on Moscow.
