Bangladesh, Cameroon, Colombia, Egypt,
Peru and Sri Lanka have been added to the list of safe countries
of origin, with regard to the assessment of applications for
international protection, and to which repatriation procedure
becomes easier, the foreign ministry said Wednesday.
It said is relevant decrees had been published in the Official
Gazette, thus becoming law.
The EU will shortly be informed, the ministry added.
Bangladeshi migrants have been among the most numerous in recent
rescues and landings in Italy.
