Mossad chief David Barnea, CIA
Director William Burns, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdel
Rahman al-Thani and Egyptian intelligence chief Abbas Kamal were
holding talks in Rome on Sunday on a possible truce in the war
in Gaza between Israel and Hamas
The discussions were reportedly set to focus on Israel's
'updated' proposal to Hamas, which was delivered to the US
mediators on Saturday.
The talks are taking place amid tension after Saturday's deadly
rocket attack on the Druze-Israeli town of Majdal Shams, which
were followed by Israeli attacks on numerous locations in
Lebanon during the night.
