(ANSA) - Reggio Calabria, August 9 - Police in Reggio
Calabria on Friday arrested 23 suspects and placed another five
under house arrest as part of an investigation into powerful
local 'Ndrangheta clans coordinated by DDA anti-mafia
investigators with the State Attorney's office of the Calabrian
city.
The suspects are alleged leaders and members of the Muià and
Figliomeni criminal syndicates, and the powerful Commissio clan
from Siderno, according to investigators.
