(ANSA) - Naples, August 27 - Napoli's bid to wrest the Serie
A title from Juve after eight straight years of Bianconeri
triumphs will last all year, new Napoli signing Hirving Lozano
said at his presentation Tuesday.
"The challenge against Juventus is a game that many players
would like to dispute," he said.
"But we know that we will have to fight all season because
Juventus is the team to beat.
Lozano said he hoped to debut against Torino after missing
Napoli's opening 4-3 win at Fiorentina.
"I feel well physically and the coach will decide if I play,
I'm available."
Napoli signed 24-year-old Mexico winger Lozano in a reported
40-million-euro deal from PSV Eindhoven.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti said "Lozano can play on the right,
behind the striker, also as a centre forward and on the left
sometimes....he's unpredictable".
Lozano, who helped PSV edge Ajax to the 2018 league title,
has played 35 times for Mexico and scored the only goal to beat
Germany at the 2018 World Cup.
Napoli finished runner-up to Juve last season.
