The President of the autonomous
province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, said Tuesday the problem
is now no longer Jj4, the female bear that killed 26-year-old
runner Andrea Papi on April 5, but bear-human coexistence.
Jj4 was caught on Monday night using a tube trap and will be
transferred to the Casteller wildlife centre pending a final
verdict on whether it is to be put down.
Fugatti said a meeting of the public order and safety committee
had been convened on Tuesday focusing on Mj5 and M62, two other
bears considered to be dangerous.
