Antonio Conte's Napoli kept their
noses in front at the top of Serie A with a 1-1 draw with
champions Inter at San Siro on Sunday.
Scott McTominay touched in from front close range to put the
visitors ahead but Turkey midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu levelled
with a long-distance effort shortly before half time.
Calhanoglu failed to convert a penalty in the second half, his
first missed spot kick in 18 attempts for Inter.
Napoli have 26 points from 12 games, one more than Inter and
three other teams that are in the chase and all won at the
weekend.
They are Atalanta, who beat Udinese 2-1 in Bergamo; Fiorentina,
who won 3-1 at home against Hellas Verona; and Lazio, who
triumphed 1-0 at Monza.
Juventus are one point further back in sixth after beating city
rivals Torino 2-0 on Saturday.
AC Milan are seventh with 18 points after their shaky form
continued with a 3-3 draw at Cagliari.
AS Roma sacked coach Ivan Juric on Sunday following a 3-2 home
defeat to Bologna that leaves them four points above the
relegation zone in 12th place.
