A string of cyclones will bring
widespread and frequent rainfalls in Italy over the next few
days, starting in the northwest Thursday, but it will not be
cold, according to weatherman Lorenzo Tedici, meteorologist of
the site www.iLMeteo.it.
"A first cyclone - he says - from the Bay of Biscay, between
France and Spain, is already rapidly descending towards the
Mediterranean.
"In the next few hours a worsening is expected between Liguria
and Piedmont with rain and snow above 1000 meters in the Alps".
During the day some showers will also wet Sardinia where the
winds will be strong at times, while precipitation will continue
in the Northwest.
In the rest of Italy the weather will be dry with large
clearings in the South and on the Adriatic side.
Tomorrow the
unstable currents of this first cyclone will join the coils of
another vortex causing further rain from the Northwest towards
Tuscany, Lazio and Sardinia with temperatures of +2°C above the
average for the period.
Also the first day of February will see umbrellas open on the
Northwest and Sardinia, locally also in the Northeast, then from
the afternoon-evening a worsening is expected also in the South.
On Sunday the bad weather will concentrate on the southern
regions, partly affecting the Center, especially the Adriatic
sector.
Significant rain will fall on Sardinia, all of the South and
part of the Adriatic from Molise to the Lower Marche.
Elsewhere,
in the North and between Tuscany and Upper Lazio the weather
will be decidedly good.
