More than sixty women entrepreneurs from Italy, San Marino, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Montenegro are participating in the 14th Congress on Women Entrepreneurship in the Adriatic-Ionian Area being held since this morning in Gorica. The event, organized by the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce, together with the Venezia Giulia Chamber of Commerce, is fully in tune with the cultural goals included in Nova Gorica and Gorica European Capital of Culture 2025. Bringing greetings within the first section moderated by Patrizia Artico, councillor of the department for the European Capital of Culture of the City of Gorizia, were the councillor for productive activities of the Fvg Region, Sergio Emidio Bini, the mayors of Gorizia, Rodolfo Ziberna and Nova Gorica, Samo Turel. "As far as 'women's' businesses active in Italy are concerned," the Venezia Giulia Chamber of Commerce reported, "they make up 22.7 percent of the total number of businesses, while in Friuli Venezia Giulia they make up 22.9 percent, or 19,973 out of a total of 87,115." For the creative, artistic and entertainment activities sector, Friuli Venezia Giulia ranks above the national average in terms of enterprises in the total, or 0.4 percent compared to 0.3 percent in the rest of Italy-no Italian region can boast higher percentages. With reference to the locations of tourism services in the narrow sense, Fvg has 1.1 percent (or 989 businesses) of locations out of the total in the accommodation sector and 7.7 percent (6,746 businesses) in the restaurant sector.
