The upcoming Bosnia and
Herzegovina local elections on Sunday may be postponed due to
severe flooding in northern Herzegovina. According to television
N1, Central Election Commission (CEC) President Irena Hadziabdic
stated that, while no final decision has been made, discussions
are ongoing with local electoral commissions in the hardest-hit
areas, including Jablanica, Konjic, and Fojnica. Landslides and
roads blocked by floods have made communication difficult in
these areas. Hadziabdic clarified that elections may still take
place in most parts of the country, with a final decision
expected on Saturday.
