Bosnia and Herzegovina has
replaced Austria as the annual president of the European Union
Strategy for the Danube Region (Eusdr). According to Sarajevo
media, the handover ceremony took place on the sidelines of a
meeting today in Vienna between Austrian Foreign Minister
Alexander Schallenberg and Bosnian Foreign Minister Elmedin
Konakovic. The meeting focused on bilateral relations,
specifically economic cooperation, Bosnia and Herzegovina's
prospects for European integration, and the situation in the
Balkans. Eusdr is a macro-regional strategy developed by Danube
region countries and the EU Commission to address common
challenges.
