"Nato today is bigger, stronger,
and more united than ever," said the Alliance's Secretary
General Jens Stoltenberg as he opened the ceremony commemorating
the 75th anniversary of the Atlantic Treaty, which included the
participation of the 32 allied foreign ministers. In addition to
the general secretary, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of
Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia,
Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia,
and Belgium (i.e. the new members since the fall of the Soviet
Union, as well as the host country).
