Eurostat indicates that
construction output in the eurozone and the EU decreased 0.1% in
September. In August, it stayed steady in the Eurozone while
rising by 0.2% in the EU. At the sector level, building
construction in the eurozone decreased by 0.8%, civil
engineering increased by 1.4%, and specialist construction
activities down by 0.4%. Among the Member States with available
statistics, the Czech Republic (-5.5%), Slovakia (-4.0%), and
the Netherlands (-3.2%) experienced the biggest monthly
reductions in construction production. Romania (+2.8%), Italy
(+2.2%), Spain, and Slovenia (+1.7%) experienced the highest
rises.
