The new EU envoy, Peter Sorensen, arrived in Pristina today for his first visit to Kosovo since taking office on February 1.
The talks with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti will centre on efforts to restart dialogue with Belgrade, which is currently stuck due to the distance between the parties.
The Danish diplomat will also
meet with Kosovo's chief negotiator in the EU-led negotiations
with Belgrade, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi. Sorensen
succeeded Slovakia's Miroslav Lajcak, who had mediated the
Kosovo dialogue for the previous five years.
