In Romania, presidential elections
will be held on November 24th, with a possible run-off on
December 8th, and parliamentary elections on December 1st. This
was announced today by Bucharest's government, which is made up
of a coalition of social Democrats and Liberals. The outgoing
president, liberal Klaus Iohannis, is serving his second and
final term and will not be able to run again. It is likely that
the two government forces will present two different candidates
to succeed Iohannis.
