Austria has announced that it will
lift its veto on Romania and Bulgaria's entry into the Schengen
Area, according to Austrian media, citing a source at the
Interior Ministry in Vienna. Austria was the only country left
to oppose Sofia and Bucharest's entry into the Schengen area,
which requires unanimity. The Home Affairs Council will meet in
Brussels on Thursday to discuss the dossier.
