This was claimed by the Slovenian news agency Sta, citing unofficial sources.
Sta recalled that Tajani and Fajon had already discussed the issue of migrants on the sidelines of an EU ministerial summit in January, debating how to deal with illegal migration on the Balkan Route after Croatia joined Schengen. Also according to Sta, unlike Italy, Slovenia does not regard alarming at the moment the amount of migrants who cross into Europe via the Balkans.
Minister Tajani is on a mission in Croatia and Slovenia today. In Zagreb Tajani will meet with Prime Minister, Andrej Plenkovic and Foreign Minister, Grlic-Radman. The focus of the talks will be on bilateral economic partnership and new business cooperation initiatives. Economic and industrial cooperation will also be one of the topics addressed in Ljubljana, where Tajani will meet in the afternoon with the President of the Republic, Natasa Pirc Musar, and Prime Minister, Robert Golob.
