Storms with strong winds and hail
caused some trouble in central and northeastern Slovenia on
Friday afternoon and evening, forcing firefighters to remove
uprooted trees from roads, cover damaged roofs, and pump water
out of flooded buildings, according to the news agency STA. The
Slovenian Civil Protection and Disaster Relief Administration
reported 249 incidents, and 106 firefighting units were
activated at centres in Celje, Ljubljana, Maribor, Murska
Sobota, Novo Mesto, Ptuj, Slovenj Gradec, and Trbovlje.
