(ANSA) - BELGRADE - Ikea is ready to arrive in Serbia, where it
will open its first shopping centre in Belgrade at the end of
2016. An agreement between the Swedish low cost furniture firm
and the Serbian authorities was signed last weekend by the
Minister of Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic, the mayor of
Belgrade Sinisa Mali and Vladislav Lalic., Ikea area manager for
Southeast Europe and Serbia. This deal involves the construction
of five Ikea plants in Serbia - two in Belgrade and one in Novi
Sad, Nis and in another place in the central area of the country
- reaching an overall investment of about 300 million euros. The
first Ikea centre, which will open in Belgrade at the end of
2016, will employ about 300 people. (ANSA).
