The Embassy of Italy in Serbia
today hosted the press conference about the "Belgrade Grand Prix
2023" in the presence of the Minister of Construction,
Infrastructure and Transport Goran Vesic.
The event, scheduled for Sunday, September 3, will be a
historical re-enactment of the First International Motorcycle
and Car Race held in Belgrade on September 3, 1939, which marked
the last victory of legendary Italian driver Tazio Nuvolari.
On the occasion of the Belgrade Grand Prix 2023, historic
four- and two-wheeled vehicles from Italy, Serbia, and Slovenia
will race at the Kalemegdan Fortress, retracing the original
track. The Grand Prix, held with the support of the city of
Belgrade, will be preceded by a seminar on vintage motoring
hosted by the Italian Cultural Institute in Belgrade.
