The ninth presidential election
in Romania will be held on November 24, 2024, with a second
round scheduled for December 8, 2024. Romanians will soon vote
in the parliamentary elections, which will be held on December
1, 2024. The Alliance for the Union of Romanians' (AUR) George
Simion and Save Romania Union's (USR) Elena Lasconi are the
next-place candidates in the presidential race, according to the
most recent vote intention surveys, with Marcel Ciolacu, the
Social Democratic Party's (PSD) leader and incumbent prime
minister, in first place.
